Welcome to Stacy Ismael Counselling

A confidential space to explore the thoughts, feelings and challenges in your life

Counselling made affordable for all

Counselling and therapy for individuals in a safe, comfortable and private setting

I'm Stacy, a dedicated and empathetic counsellor here to support you on your journey towards healing and growth.

I strongly believe that counselling should be accessible to all, regardless of location and financial situation. For this reason, I offer low cost online counselling sessions for £35 per 50 minute session, with no limit to the amount of sessions you can access at this low cost rate.

With a warm and non-judgmental approach, I create a safe space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace. My approach integrates Person-Centred Therapy and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), two powerful methodologies that can help you navigate your challenges and achieve your goals.

As a person-centred counsellor, my focus is on you as an individual, valuing your unique experiences and perspectives. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to provide genuine acceptance, empathy and understanding as you navigate through your challenges. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship issues, life transitions or simply feeling stuck in life, person-centred counselling can empower you to gain insight, self-awareness and the confidence to make positive changes.

In addition to person-centred therapy, I offer Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help you achieve your goals more efficiently. Are you struggling with stress, work/life balance challenges, relationship issues, or a sense of being stuck? SFBT might be just what you need. In just six sessions, we'll work together to identify your goals and the steps needed to achieve them. Through targeted questions, such as "What will be different when your problem is solved?", we focus on your strengths and past successes. SFBT is all about building on these strengths and focusing on solutions, empowering you to make meaningful, lasting changes.

Bereavement Counselling Expertise

I specialise in providing bereavement counselling. Losing a loved one can be one of the most difficult experiences we face, and the grieving process can be overwhelming and complex. As a specialised bereavement counsellor, I offer compassionate support to help you navigate through the various stages of grief, honour your loved one's memory and find healing in your loss. Whether you've recently experienced a loss or are still struggling with unresolved grief from the past, I am here to accompany you on your journey.

Personalised Counselling

My counselling sessions are tailored to meet your individual needs and goals, providing a supportive environment where you can feel heard, understood, and validated. Together, we will work collaboratively to explore your emotions, identify coping strategies and develop practical skills to help you manage life's challenges more effectively.

Whether you feel you would benefit from a slower paced person-centred approach, or a more targeted solution focused therapy, I am here to meet your unique needs.

Frequently asked questions

What happens during the 15 minute, free consultation?

This is just an informal chat for me to introduce myself and for you to tell me what brings you to counselling. I will explain how I work and if I feel I am able to help you. Remember, it’s important to find the right counsellor for you.

Is there much paperwork to complete?

No, if we agree that we can work together, I will email to you my contract for counselling which will need to be either signed online or handed to me at the beginning of our first session.

What happens during our first session?

I will verbally go through the contract for counselling to ensure you understand the terms. We will then complete a short assessment to identify how you are feeling in the moment and any goals you wish to work towards, and collect some contact information.

I’m worried about confidentiality. How can you ensure this?

I treat confidentiality very seriously and am a member of the ICO. I will explain more about it in our first session. If you want to know more now, click here to read my privacy policy.

Anything else come to mind?

I’m happy to answer any other questions you may have. Please click here to complete my contact form and write your query in the box provided

What's best, in-person or online sessions?

We can discuss this in our informal chat. You may prefer the intimacy of an in-person session or find it is easier for you to have your sessions online from the comfort of your home. There’s no right way, only the right way for you.

How do I make payment?

I will send a payment link to you 48 hours before your first session. Payment is kindly requested at least 24 hours before your session is due to commence. If you have any problems with this, please just let me know and we can make alternative arrangements.

How many sessions will I need?

This varies from client to client. Some may need four to six and others twelve, some clients prefer open ended sessions. Whatever you decide, this is completely flexible and I will review where you are regularly throughout the counselling process.

It’s been a long time since my loss and I’m not sure if it’s just bereavement counselling I need?

Bereavement counselling is helpful at any stage in your loss journey, sometimes years later. As I work in a person-centred way, it is your choice to bring to each session whatever you feel you need to.
